From the Workshop- Barnwood Console Table
Our youth room at church is getting a makeover. We were approached about building a simple, tall, console table for the entry way. It will be used for displays and a few of the youth are taking turns painting a giant canvas that hangs above it.
They supplied the wood and we supplied the skills.
I think it turned out great!
So happy to be able to preserve those circular saw marks on this old wood.
This wood was already de-nailed which made it so much easier to work with.
These boards are strong and will last forever!
We used an oil based poly in a semi gloss finish to bring out the natural patina in the wood.
It was hand rubbed deep into the wood grain to really help it shine and protect it's natural color.
